1. The Practice of Generosity

The practice of Dana (generosity) lies at the very heart of the Buddhist tradition. Since our establishment in 2001—when local Buddhist supporters, the Narwade Brothers, generously donated the land—Urgyen Sangharakshita Retreat Centre has been built, maintained, and expanded through the collective generosity of practitioners and well-wishers. Your financial support allows us to maintain our meditation facilities, preserve the sacred Stupa holding Bhante Sangharakshita’s robes, provide scholarships for low-income retreatants, and host life-changing Dhamma programs for future generations.

2. Supporting the Sangha

We invite you to contribute toward the ongoing mission of spreading the Dhamma across India and fulfilling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of a revitalized Buddhist society. Whether offering a one-time contribution toward facility maintenance, sponsoring meals for retreatants, or making a monthly pledge, every act of generosity helps keep this spiritual ‘charging station’ open to all. Donations can be made via direct bank transfer or by contacting our organizing trustees.
